Volunteer Opportunities

We have lots of ways people can serve as volunteers at Perpetual Help Home.

JOB COACHES: This is an ongoing, but sporadic need. Our residents must get a job or attend school. Volunteers play a big role in this area by providing

  • transportation for women to pick up and return job applications or attend interviews
  • help with completing applications
  • encouragement and positive interaction as women pursue work

CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S JOB CORPS: This is a job and life skills course we offer on site. Volunteers are asked to commit an hour a week for the length of the class. We need

  • Teachers and substitutes for Bible study, computer skills or a content class. We provide curriculum for all subjects.
  • Computer monitors to monitor participants as they work independently on the computers.

BABYSITTING: Each Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. we have an adult Bible study at PHH and need childcare so women can attend without their children. Volunteers serve on a rotating basis, but can work each week if they choose.

"HANDY-MAN" HELP: There is always work to be done on the property - carpentry, plumbing, yard work, electrical, and so on.

Other ways to help: In the past, volunteers have taught art lessons to the women and children and others have taught parenting classes. We are open to new ideas that will benefit our residents. If you have a special talent you would like to share, we would love to discuss your idea and see what the Lord has in mind.
